What is the self-esteem Floreo community on Substack?
How curious are you about what makes you tick?
You can subscribe (there is a free & paid option) to my Substack Floreo publication & community to access an Aladdin's Cave library about everything self-esteem. A community chat, short snappy podcasts, articles and more. All based in psychological science and my 20 years of experience in helping people develop healthy self-esteem, that then develops into sustainable confidence.
There is more about Substack itself below. The community I am building there is for everyone who wants to be part of a supportive environment solely dedicated to understanding and improving self-esteem.
Floreo (Latin for Flourish) offers a supportive, non-judgemental environment that is kind and fair. It has a chat facility as well so you can talk to each other and me, as well and ask for help and support, advice and whatever you need to know or ask. In effect, a community of like minded people, offering encouragement and support, actually listening, with kindness and empathy.
Each month there will be 2 x 30 minute 'ask the coach' zoom sessions with me, 5 minute podcasts aimed to try out something new and articles, all aimed at making your own self-esteem coach. Small bite sized things that can actually make a different to your mental health, achievements, how you live your life and move towards the things you want.
My Substack page will grow and develop and evolve over time, just in the same way we all do! I am so excited about this project! I am also very excited for you to be part of something new that we can build together. It is a collaboration. That is how most humans thrive.
See below for full list of membership benefits.
What is Substack?
My understanding of what Substack is, is this. It has been set up in a very different way to any other social media platforms.
It is not a social media platform, in fact. It is independent, with no ads and no algorithms that influence the content. It is a place for pure creativity without limits or restrictions (within reason!).
It has a chat facility (usually by subscription but authors vary), you can listen to podcasts and watch videos, read great content from many amazing writers and creatives. It is very exciting and a very different take on Instagram and Facebook, a better one, in my opinion. There is free and paid content and that varies between writers. I have both and my chat is subscription only.
You might be feeling sceptical and be thinking about how do they make money then? Good question, in fact.
Most authors on Substack offer some free material and then also a subscription amount of content. Substack take a commission on each person who subscribes from the author, not from you, so in this case, me. You do need an account to access stuff, but it does not cost you anything unless you actually pau to subscribe to an author.
I will be offering free content but in order to write on there and provide great content I am also going to have a paid subscription.
I am going to be asking for £5.50 a month for the paid part of the content
It has a chat facility as well so you can talk to each other and me, as well and ask for help and support, advice, whatever you need. In effect, a community of like minded women, offering encouragement and support, actually listening, with kindness and empathy.
There are also things to learn from and try out, practical help and coaching, in your pocket! My Substack page will grow and develop and evolve over time, just in the same way we all do! I am so excited alongside a little fear! I would like it to be a collaborative community and so you can help me build it into something meaningful.
For £5.50 per month (less than a coffee a week) on Substack you will receive, from me, at time of writing (as we will evolve it together over time):
- 2 x 30 minute group 'ask the coach' per month via Zoom (the days and times will rotate each month to make it more accessible). These sessions will NOT be recorded to make it a safe space.
- Newsletters to your inbox
- A community of like minded people intrigued by the concepts of self-esteem.
- The Life Journal – it actually does help, there is more about this on Substack
- 5 minute nuggets – a podcast series of 5 minutes each, tips, things to think about and so on
- Longer podcasts – coming soon
- Chat facility, to talk to each other and to me
- Regular 'learn how to be your coach' articles, short and snappy, about 5 minutes each
Just to let you know that signing up below will take you the Substack platform where you can sign up for a free account, just as you would for Facebook, Instagram etc
